On the occasion of World Book and Copyright Day, Red Star Football Club collected 198 books before the 173rd eternal derby.

From the red and white camp, they decided to support children from Republika Srpska with this action and donated textbooks to students in Miloševac near Modriča.

“I want to thank FC Crvena Zvezda for this donation on behalf of the school management and for enabling us to attend a friendly match against Zenit together with the students.” Books were necessary for us in order to enrich our library, and we are especially glad that the textbooks collected on “World Book Day” were donated to our school, which has about 800 students, with the fact that we have a central city school in Modriča and eight areas of schools in villages that gravitate towards the city”, said the teacher of “Sutjeska” Primary School Danilo Vasiljević and added:

“Sutjeska Elementary School” is a nine-grade school attended by 50 students, while all the residents of Miloševac try to keep our village alive, therefore the fan club played a key role in the merger with Crvena zvezda. Considering that children from here don’t often have the opportunity to go to the city, when we came to Belgrade for the match between Zvezda and Zenit, we had the opportunity to see tears of joy, and I hope that this is just the beginning of a beautiful story”.
