The famous Hollywood couple has been married since 2000, and with the photos she published on Instagram, the actress united their happy married moments. It was an opportunity for the emotional Catherine to share some important moments from her life with her followers on Instagram.
She published several photos from their wedding at The Plaza Hotel in New York 23 years ago. Even today, their wedding is considered one of the most lavish and was estimated to have cost between 1.5 and 2 million dollars. Even then, Douglas declared that his wife would get everything she wanted, and among other wishes was a wedding dress covered in satin and decorated with hand-stitched diamonds by designer Christian Lacroix.
The celebrated actress also showed what the first meeting with her husband was like. The couple first met at a film festival in France in 1996, and were introduced by mutual friends Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith, who were a couple at the time. Douglas had already told the actress that evening that he would be the father of her children, but although the beautiful Catherine didn’t like it then and dumped him, it seems that the actor was still right!
