“Streptococcus bacterium has wreaked havoc on me”

Singer Maja Berović opened up about the most difficult period in her life, when she had as many as five leg surgeries and was separated from her son Leo for a long time.

She brought to the public a series of details that she had not talked about before.

– A lot of people had similar problems to me. It’s amazing to me how often this happens to people, I thought I was the only one with it. It was a leg infection. The strep bacteria has wreaked havoc on me – said Maya.

– It is something that is very difficult to treat. It is possible with antibiotics, but in more severe cases with surgery. I had to have an operation, because the matter got really complicated – she pointed out, then added:

– I had an open wound… That summer I walked a lot with my son… I didn’t wear a band-aid, even though they told me to, because I already had some skin problems before that. That open wound became infected.

– I thought that nothing bad could happen to me, but here… It happened. I had bad immunity, that’s why I passed the way I did – concluded the singer for “Premiere, weekend special”.
