A first-class cast was assembled for “Sivi dom”, led by Bata Živojinović as the “Manager”. Miša Janketić played the role of the teacher Belo, Dragan Nikolić played the teacher Zeka, Milo Miranović the “poet’s guard”, while Radmila Živković played Šilja’s mother, and Rahela Ferrari was “Rose-Lopuža”. More than 100 actors and 5,000 extras went through the series.

The series opened the door to great fame for Zoran Cvijanović, Žarko Laušević, Dubravko Jovanović, Andrijana Videnović, Branko Vidaković, Rajko Prodanović, among others, which they only half-used in the years that followed.
During the filming of this series, Bane was much thinner than he is today, and many considered him to be one of the most beautiful young actors back then.
Bane was born in Belgrade, and graduated in acting at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, in the class of Professor Predrag Bajčetić in 1983.
He had his own band and wanted to do music, but at the urging of Boris Komnenic, he tried to enter the Faculty of Dramatic Arts. He succeeded on the second attempt and was accepted into the class of Professor Predrag Bajčetić. He graduated in 1983.
In his career so far, Branko has performed over 50 film and serial roles. He played the main roles in the films: “Black Maria”, “Swedish Arrangement”, “Flirtation”, “Sex – State Enemy No. 1”, “Flashback”, etc. He starred in the series: “Truckers 2”, “Sivi dom”, “The End of the Obrenović Dynasty”, “Open Doors”, “Upstairs”, “Foxes”, “My cousin from the village”…
