Actress Žarko Laušević was cremated today at the New Cemetery in Belgrade, who was escorted to her eternal rest by numerous colleagues, friends and family.
Children of Žarko Laušević, son Dušan, daughters Asja and Jana, came to the cemetery together with Laušević’s wife Anita.
The actors wore white and red roses for their great friend and colleague. Many think that it is a symbolism for his role as Peter in the movie “Officer with a Rose” in which he wore two roses, one for Ljiljana, the other for Matilda.
For that role, Laušević received the Golden Arena in Pula in 1987.
Laušević was sent to his eternal rest with a speech by his colleague Nebojša Dugalić, as well as a song from “Sivo dom” “Everything I want at this moment”:
– All I want at this moment
go, get out of my life
my heart burned mine
and the soul was left without its own
No, I won’t cry
my heart is full of joy
I used to have fun with you
but when a star fell from the sky
now I only have a pale image
that your sister once gave me
