She gained popularity as a sports journalist, and then many projects followed in which she shone.

During her career, she didn’t talk much about her private life, and on one occasion she revealed that she didn’t have an easy childhood.

– I have been very relaxed in front of cameras since childhood. I had my first experience on a big set in Istanbul, when I shot a shampoo commercial as a model. The phenomenal American production came with a mountain of equipment, and I was treated like a movie star. (laughs) I had a stunt double on which they set up the lights, I would just come to film the scene. For the first time, I wanted to be someone from television. When I became that, I realized that there is no glamor here, only hard work, but I am really happy – said Dragana then.

“I haven’t seen my father for four years”

On that occasion, she also recalled the war and said that she fled her native Sarajevo and that she remembers that period of her life as very traumatic.

I first think of refugees. Second, I haven’t seen my father for four years. When our family was finally reunited, when we saw that we were all alive and well, a new life had to be created. Then the whole story ended with the divorce of the parents, which is also a trauma. I don’t want this to sound pathetic, but throughout my childhood there was an alternation of severe turbulence. That’s why I grew up very quickly. I read somewhere that children from broken homes are most focused on the family. It’s true. Not a day goes by that I don’t talk to my friends on the phone, and in the meantime we exchange who knows how many messages – said Dragana.
