Celine Dion graced the cover of the French edition of Vogue magazine, which described her appearance as her “big comeback” after her diagnosis. In the interview, the singer talked about the disease and how she fights with it.

It’s been more than a year since Dion revealed she was suffering from stiffness syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that can cause muscle spasms and loss of mobility.

She has since retired – she canceled the remaining dates of her Courage world tour and instead focused on treatment at home in Las Vegas and spending time with her three sons, writes Klix.ba.

She also announces her documentary called “I am: Celine Dion”, which she wants to raise awareness about this disease. In an interview with Vogue, Dion says she’s taking it “one day at a time.” As an artist who has performed in front of global audiences since she was 13, Dion said she found it difficult to come to terms with the diagnosis.

“The way I see it, I have two choices,” she says, “either I train like an athlete and do great, or I switch off and it’s over, I stay at home, listen to my songs, stand in front of the mirror and sing to myself.”

She revealed that she undergoes athletic, physical and vocal therapy five days a week: “I’m working on my toes, my knees, my calves, my fingers, my singing, my voice… I have to learn to live with it now and stop second-guessing myself.”

She admitted how difficult it was for her after receiving the diagnosis: “At first I would ask myself, ‘Why me?’ How did it happen? What have I done? Is it my fault?’

“Life doesn’t give you answers.” You just have to live. I have this disease for an unknown reason,” she said, adding that “she has strength in herself and knows that nothing will stop her.”

In the photos for the magazine, the singer poses in a brown combination of a coat and dress and burgundy accessories – a belt and gloves, which she matched with sandals on her feet. There are also several black and white photos, and she posed in a pink merino wool coat.
