The late singer Rođa Raičević was a favorite of our country and the entire Balkans, and his music is still heard today.
As the domestic media has repeatedly written, he had a platonic love for one of the most fatal women of that era, Buba Miranović.
Singer Buba Miranović enjoyed enormous popularity during the nineties. She was considered a great seductress, and in addition to her songs, she also stood out because she had a specific hair color – purple.
Buba recorded 11 albums in her career. She recorded her last album in 2007, and then released singles, eventually retiring from the public eye.
Her father was a professor and her mother a medical worker, and they wanted their daughter to study medicine.
However, Buba had other plans and, although for a time she was also involved in modeling, her love for music won. When she was only 19 years old, she married Zika Miranović and went to Toronto.
She lived there for five years and gave birth to a daughter, Kristina, and a son, Filip.
Despite her dedication to her family, Buba did not want to give up pop music and returned to Belgrade in 1987. Two years later, she already recorded her first album, with the respected name of our music, Dragan Aleksandrić.
About the frequent stories that she was the great love of the late Rođo Raičević, the singer spoke like this:
“We were friends at the beginning of his career. I left for Toronto and then our paths diverged. He was a wonderful colleague. Serious, yet fun in society. I love his voice. I must order one of his songs in the pub. That’s how I remember him.”
