Hunter Nelson adopted her 6 year younger sister

Drinking, partying and hooking up with sexy strangers may be routine pastimes for most single twenty-somethings, but unlike other Gen Zers, 22-year-old Hunter Nelson isn’t obsessed with partying.

Instead, she is a full-time parent to a 16-year-old teenage girl.

“I’m driving down the road and I realize I’m 22 years old with a 16-year-old daughter,” a visibly stunned Hunter from Kentucky wrote in the closed caption of her controversial TikTok confession, which has garnered over 8.2 million views.

“No other parents or employees of hers.” [srednjoj školi] they won’t take me seriously,” the blonde continued. “I already feel people asking me what grade I’m in when I go to her events.” “How do I teach her to drive when I can barely go down the road?” Nelson asked in the video, which she captioned, “I like to overdo it.” And her eye-popping post prompted a series of questions from concerned commentators.

“You were 6 when you gave birth to a child?” asked one shocked cyber viewer.

“This video makes it sound like you had a kid at 6, is that how you wanted it to appear?” wrote a friend

and. “OMG you had a kid at 6?” said someone else.

But in the following clip, Nelson revealed the details of her unusual parenting problem.

– I didn’t have a baby when I was 6 years old – she assured the audience of over 3.9 million people.

– I recently filed for custody of my sister… I felt the best way to keep my sister safe, happy and to meet all her needs.

Nelson explained that their father passed away in 2015, and that her half-sister Gracie’s mother, from North Carolina, also passed away. After that, Gracie was at risk of being placed in foster care, so Nelson petitioned the court for custody of the teenager.

– It is 100% legal – she noted in the video.

Becoming a parent to his little sister overnight caused a lot of family drama. In a separate excerpt, Nelson revealed that she had received a number of death threats from members of Grace’s maternal bloodline, who did not want her to be granted parental rights. The girl’s aunt even hired a lawyer in an attempt to thwart her request for custody. Nelson also admitted that Gracie also protested her choice for custody.

– Gracie didn’t want to go with me – she admitted in front of the camera next to the teenager:

– She had a seizure and I thought she was going to kill herself in the bathroom. She was very upset with me.

She added that Gracie temporarily lived in an unsanitary and violent environment after her mother died.
