Tragedy happened at one performance, as the singer (31) died after falling at the concert. She tripped over her dress and hit her head on the stage.

The victim was performing at a local retirement home in China for a resident’s 90th birthday, and the tragic incident occurred after two songs were sung.

Before the tragedy, the singer was walking very slowly, and then she tripped over her clothes and collapsed, reports the Mirror.

After the fall, she remained motionless on stage. The unnamed woman stopped breathing and staff members tried to resuscitate her in front of a shocked audience.

Workers performed chest compressions on her as she lay under the spotlight. On April 12, she was transferred to a nearby hospital in the Chinese city of Chongqing, but despite the best efforts of doctors, she died shortly after arrival. The singer said she wasn’t feeling well earlier that day, according to Need to Know.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
