Finally revealed why Meghan was not at the coronation

It has been almost a year since the solemn ceremony took place coronation of King Charles III. Now the alleged “real reason” that it is has been revealed Meghan Markle “declined” the invitation for this very important event for the entire royal family and beyond.

A Sussex spokesman confirmed at the time that the couple had received official correspondence from the palace, saying they had been invited to attend. However, while the prince Harry traveled from his home in California to be with her father, Meghan Markle “skipped” the coronation.

The Mirror reports that the real reason Meghan may not have attended is because she was not “impressed” with the king’s response to the claims he made in her interview with Oprah Winfrey.

In 2021, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave a bombshell interview to an American host on her talk show where they made allegations about an alleged racist family member.

Meghan stated that there had been “talk” and “concern” about what color their baby would be when he was born. It later emerged that Meghan and Charles, who was the Prince of Wales at the time, had exchanged letters about the incident.

The Mirror reports that Meghan was not happy with the outcome of these letters, and that was one of the reasons why she did not attend the coronation.

Sources told The Telegraph that Meghan sent a letter explaining that while she did not intend to accuse the person involved of being racist, she wanted to “raise concerns about unconscious bias” in the family.

The newspaper said the Duchess’s letter was sent in response to a letter from King Charles, in which he expressed his sadness at the family split. However, the duchess is reportedly “not happy” with the king’s response to the letter.

The royal family has not publicly acknowledged the allegations, but Prince William was asked during an outing whether the royal family was racist. The prince firmly replied that they were “not a racist family”.

The interview with Oprah came a year after Harry and Meghan left their royal duties.

During the interview, Meghan alleged that the royal family had “perpetuated falsehoods” about the couple.

She claimed royal life had taken its toll on her mental health and she was not taken seriously when she raised these concerns.

The king is believed to be the only person to have made contact with the duchess after the interview, in which Oprah was told there had been “concerns and discussions about what the color of Archie’s skin might be when he is born.”
