Steven Hirsch, vice president of adult entertainment company Vivid Entertainment, told CNBC that girls make more money when they first enter the industry because they are new. However, their further income depends on how popular they become. According to CNBC, the average actress in the industry is paid in between 800 and 1,000 dollars (about 1,000 euros) for “a traditional male-female intimate relationship scene.”
Those who are not in demand in the industry and are not popular can be paid less, around $300, while more popular actors can charge $1,500 or even $2,000 per scene. If an actor or actress engages in more extreme scenes on set, they receive between $1,800 and $2,500. Derek Hay, founder of talent agency LA Direct Models, said he’s seen actors being offered between $2,000 and $6,000 for a scene if it’s something they’ve never done before, Croatian Index reports.
The difference in wages can vary and be even greater when it comes to men. CNBC reports that men typically get paid $500-$600 per scene or even per day. If they are a little more famous, they could make $700-$900.
“I don’t think adult stars make as much money as the public thinks. I don’t think anyone, not even the biggest stars, make more than half a million a year, but if some of the top stars are making $300,000 to $400,000 a year, in most people’s perception, that’s would still be a lot of money,” Derek Hay concluded.
