The reason why this house went bankrupt, according to sources in 2021, is non-payment of a loan of 10,000 euros, which was taken out by the singer’s nephew Rade Jovanović.
Rade mortgaged the property in a bank because of a loan that he did not repay. Then that debt was taken over by a company from Belgrade that deals with the purchase of debts, it was done according to the old enforcement law, which meant the first sale at 60 percent, and the second at 30 percent of the estimated value. The house was sold immediately at 60 percent, and Rade did not appear at that hearing, although he was duly invited. In addition to the house, the land under the building and a third-class meadow were also sold. All that was sold for a little more than a million dinars. However, Rade later managed to get the house back. Rade bought the house in the village of Miločaj near Kraljevo from the new owner – a woman from a nearby village, who made the best bid at the auction.
Rade said that his daughter, who lives, I think, in Belgium, provided him with the money. He remained living there in the house with his wife, I think she is from Pljevlja. Next to the house, they also have an ethnic restaurant, the source said in March 2022.
The singer once spoke to the media on that occasion.
I have nothing to do with that house, I just grew up there. I gave up that house a long time ago in favor of my cousin who lives and works there. And if he took out a loan, I have nothing to do with it, said the singer.
