SHE MENTIONED ‘BIG SURPRISE’, SOMETHING WAS WRONG: Anna Walsh’s friends on her disappearance

FRIENDS of Ana Walsh, the Serbian woman who disappeared in America, said she kept promising a “big surprise” in the new year, and they are extremely upset about her disappearance.

Mike and Mandy Silva have been renting their apartment in Revere, Massachusetts, from Anna and Brian Walsh for the past four years, and have been hanging out with the couple.

In the last six months something has been wrong, they told NBC News.

Anna Walsh was in a hurry to get rid of the property, so she sold the car and the apartment where they lived. It was sold for cash on Dec. 28 or 29, Mike Silva said.

– Nothing fits – Mandy Silva said.

The last message Silva received from Brian Walsh on January 2nd read:

– Happy New Year. Sorry for being late. I lost my phone and my son just found it.

There was no mention of Anna, although her husband told the police that she had already disappeared by then.

Sources confirmed to NBC News that items found during a search of a landfill about 50 miles from the Walsh Metal Saws’ home were bloody towels, as well as cleaning supplies that were Brian Walsh bought that day.

He is being held on $500,000 bail and charged with misleading investigators in connection with his wife’s disappearance. The couple’s three young children are in the custody of Massachusetts Social Services.
