Friends of Anna and Brian Walsh, who had been renting an apartment from them for four years in Massachusetts, said that something strange happened six months ago.

Brian, Mike and Mandy Silva say that during that time Anna was in a hurry to get rid of her possessions, including her car and the apartment where they live. The apartment was sold for cash on December 28 or 29.

Mike Silva received the last message from Brian, in response to a “Happy New Year” text, on January 2. Brian did not mention his wife in it.
– Happy New Year. Sorry for being late. I lost my phone and my son just found it,” Walsh responded in a message Silva shared with NBC10 Boston.
Walsh is accused of misleading police during the investigation. At the hearing, he pleaded not guilty.
– It almost brings tears to my eyes because it’s just not normal – Mandi said.

She said what was publicly known about the case did not add up, and asked her friend to tell the truth: “Where is Anna? Brian, if you know something, why aren’t you talking?”
According to her, Ana was her friend.
– She would bring alcohol, bottles of wine for the holidays, or chocolates, and we would do the same. “I would leave cookies for her and the kids,” Mandi said.
