The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Goran Vesić, announced the new high-speed roads in Serbia.

“There will be a lower toll, but it will be charged. There is a difference. There will be no toll ramps on expressways, but tolls will be charged through cameras that detect license plates, that’s something new,” Vesić said.

When it comes to truck tolls, the minister explained that there will be rules and controls to ensure that they are respected.

“There will be scales in the asphalt that measure the axle load, and if someone is overloaded, the toll will be significantly higher. It will be a kind of penalty,” explained Vesić.
