The Directorate of Civil Aviation announced yesterday the first step in finding a solution for reducing the noise of airplanes taking off from the Belgrade airport which during the initial phase of climbing fly over Bežanijska Kosa. The first decision comes after the formation of a working group of civil stakeholders in early October.
As announced, all jet planes that use runway 12R for takeoff and the instrument procedure (direction) of departure (takeoff) TISAK 3Z (which leads over Bežanjska Kosa), from now they will have to take off exclusively from the beginning of the runway. Jet planes will not be allowed to take off from shorter distances (from intersections) between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. on weekdays and from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, reports the Tango Six portal.
“MICROPHONES ARE BEING PLACED ALL OVER THE CITY” Citizens of New Belgrade complained about airplane noise, here’s how it will be resolved
The reason for this decision of the regulator is to the loudest noise (during the most intensive operation of the engine) occurs as early as possiblein order to reduce it to some extent above the Bežaniska Kosa flyover.
In the NOTAM for the crews, the Directorate more precisely defined a new rule that states that take-off (in the specified time periods) is mandatory from the position of the final intersection of Delta 1 and possibly from Delta 2 if Delta 1 is impassable for some reason.
The Directorate reminds that a working group consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, DCV, SMATSA, Air Serbia and Nikola Tesla Airport participated in this initiative. They also note that the working group will continue its work.
