“Another political manipulation”: Danas interlocutors on Kurti’s statement that Serbia should propose a special agreement for the participation of Kosovo Serbs in the elections on December 17 – Elections 2023

– The reference to Article 2 of the basic agreement, which contributes to good neighborly relations based on equal rights, supports this thesis – he points out.

And Milija Biševac, from the Serbian People’s Pocket with Kosovo and Metohija, states for Danas that Kurti’s statement is another political manipulation.

He reminds that this is not the first time, because Prishtina banned the previous elections as well as the referendum and did not allow the Serbs to express themselves, even though they have the right to do so by law.

He adds that “Mr. Kurti forgets that we have dual citizenship and that our basic human rights have been violated by such decisions.”

– What further worries us is that the official Belgrade has so far not committed itself to include this issue in the negotiation process. To us, this looks like they don’t want the true attitude of the Serbs to be expressed with Kosovo and Metohija, but only dedicated and loyal voters to the ruling party in Serbia will be driven by buses and sleds – says Biševac.

And Boško Obradović, the leader of Dveri and one of the leaders of the “National Gathering” electoral coalition, believes that Kurti is making fun of Serbia because in Belgrade we have a government that renounced the state of Serbia in Kosovo and Metohija and now he is doing what he wants there and carrying out terror on the Serbs. .

– Now he is referring to the Franco-German agreement that Vučić accepted in Brussels and confirmed in Ohrid, which further worsens the status of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and turns them into a diaspora that can no longer even vote in elections in Serbia.
