Serbian tennis player Filip Krajinovic he said today in Malaga that Serbia has a great chance to win the Davis Cup.
Serbia will play against Great Britain in the quarter-finals of the Davis Cup final tournament in Malaga on Thursday from 16:00.
– The atmosphere in the team is great, we are all ready. We had several training sessions in Belgrade, we came here on Sunday, and Novak will join us today. We are complete, everyone is healthy, highly motivated, and they believe we can win the Davis Cup – he said Krajinovic for RTS, reported by the Tennis Federation of Serbia.
The best player in the world joined the Serbian tennis players yesterday Novak Djokovicwho won the Final ATP Masters of the season on Sunday.
– We watched the final, followed all the results, we think he won as expected. I am looking forward to his arrival, I am glad that he played very well and that he is coming here as a winner of the Masters. Today will be his first training session here, and we expect a match on Thursday – said the Serbian tennis player.
Krajinovic said that Great Britain is a difficult opponent.
– Support is important to us, there will certainly be our fans here and we expect them to be with us. They don’t have Mario and Evans, but on the other hand, they have Norrie and Draper, who are left-handed and very good tennis players. We have to focus and concentrate on singles, because they are very good in doubles.
Philip pointed out that he came to Malaga as a support and sparring partner.
– There are similarities as in 2010, that’s why I came here even though I haven’t played for six months, but I will be a support and sparring partner. There is also Janko Tipsarević, so almost the entire team from 2010 is together. We should take advantage of the fact that Djokovic is here, Kecmanovic, Lajovic and Đere are also playing very well, we have great chances – he concluded Krajinovic.
