The first serious snow fell on Kopaonik, and the Ski Resorts of Serbia started artificial snowmaking and preparation of the slopes. A snow cover of 10 centimeters was formed.
Preparations for the upcoming winter season are underway. The ski resorts of Serbia are performing the last checks of the overhauled system, and the artificial snowmaking of the slopes has already begun.
The height of the snow cover on Kopaonik is 10 cm. Good conditions have already been created for artificial snowmaking and preparation of trails, says the manager of the Kopaonik Ski Center, Darko Jovanović, Una reports.

– The temperature is in the minus, which was the condition to start the production of artificial snow, so we will also try the system that was overhauled during the summer season. About 400 devices and three pumping stations are active. Everything works without a hitch and a serious amount of artificial snow was made during these trials. We are hoping for sub-zero temperatures so that everything will be ready for the “Ski opening” – said Jovanovic.

“Ski opening” officially starts on December 7, and on that day skiing will be free.
Until today, a 15 percent discount on the price of the ski pass was valid. The Ski Resorts of Serbia announce various discounts in the days leading up to the Ski Opening.
– From November 26 to December 3, the discount will be 10 percent, and from December 3 until the end of the ski season, tickets purchased through the webshop will be discounted by five percent. – said Jovanovic.
New snowfalls are expected on Kopaonik, so if favorable weather conditions remain, there is a possibility that the ski season will start a little earlier.
