Bor’s high school students celebrated School Day this year more modestly, but the core of one of the oldest literary manifestations, “Bora’s Week”, was preserved and justified by an appropriate performance in the hall of this educational institution. It was also an opportunity to announce the most successful reciters, musicians and to praise the students who achieved notable success in previous knowledge competitions.

BOR – Gymnasium “Bora Stanković” in Bor this year, due to unfortunate events, celebrated “Bora’s Week” more modestly than usual. A literary and musical evening was organized in the school hall, prepared by students and teachers.

A novelty in the program was the recitation of songs in several foreign languages, which attracted the greatest attention of those present. The core of the evening, according to tradition, was dedicated to the creativity of Bora Stanković as well as interesting things from his life.

We are especially happy and proud that on this year’s School Day we can boast of three republican awards in the French language, at the Literary Olympiad and at the mathematics competition won by our students. We still have a few more republican competitions in knowledge where we expect favorable results. We don’t lack furniture, and the only thing we are planning is interior decoration, i.e. replacing the interior carpentry“, she pointed out Miljana Golubović, director of “Bora Stanković” Gymnasium

As every year, as part of the School Day celebration, the awarding of the “Golden Pen” award to the authors of the most successful literary works was organized, as well as a certificate of appreciation, and the magazine of the Bor Gymnasium “Naša reč” was also promoted.
