– The renovation project was long and demanding, but the results, at least as far as we are concerned, are impressive. However, this is not only the renovation of the space, but also the shaping of the new concept that we present to you today. This place is now much more than a book store. Our goal is for this to be a place where words and pictures, past and future meet, but above all a place where people meet, all those who love art and live, and there are many of them in this city, and our community has longed for it for a long time. a place like this. It is a great pleasure that we managed to provide something like that to our fellow citizens. Without the support of the city of Šabac, this project would not have been possible. We owe our gratitude to the mayor, Dr. Aleksandar Pajić, Branko Džinović, a member of the council for culture, as well as my team, who put in a lot of work and effort, but also their heart, in order to realize this common long-dreamed-of dream. Let the new old bookstore be a place that encourages thinking and creativity, a place that unites and ennobles us – said the director of the Cultural Center Uroš Lukić.
The mayor of Šabac, Dr. Aleksandar Pajić, expressed the hope that applied art will now be more accessible to the people of Šabac in the newly arranged park, but in a well-known location.
– I would like to thank everyone who participated in the implementation and who had the idea and vision of how to bring the good written word and art closer to fellow citizens. I invite all fellow citizens to visit the cultural center’s kinjjar and enjoy everything that the employees have prepared in the renovated space – said the mayor of Šabac.
