The two were arrested after the police shed light on an attempted murder on August 9 last year near Rokovo potok in Petrovaradin. S. Š., who was himself wounded, was handcuffed on suspicion of having committed the crime of aggravated attempted murder, and S. M. was deprived of liberty as a co-perpetrator in that criminal act.

– It is suspected that the two of them, in August, inflicted serious, life-threatening injuries on a twenty-four-year-old man from Petrovaradin with a sharp object. Through operational work, the police shed light on this criminal offense and identified the suspects – it was announced after the arrest by the Police Department of Novi Sad.

According to unofficial information obtained by the “Dnevnik” reporter at the time, that August evening around 11 p.m., in Preradovićeva street bb, near Rokovo potok, a young man was found lying in a pool of blood with stab wounds in the chest area, and it turned out that in the matter of S. Sh. Half an hour later, a 24-year-old young man was found in Ulica Podunavsko odreda 6, who was also injured by a sharp object. He suffered cuts and stab wounds on his leg and arm, and it was later determined that he was M. M. From Petrovaradin.

At the High Public Prosecutor’s Office in Novi Sad, they confirmed at the time that, in Ulica Podunavski odreda, in the parking lot near house numbers 6 and 8, there was a conflict between several N. N. faces and that they are S. Sh. and M. M. suffered physical injuries in the form of a large number of stab woundsafter which they were given medical assistance in the Emergency Center of the Clinical Center of Vojvodina.
