Three plays from the municipality of Kula secured placement at the Festival of Amateur Theater Societies of Vojvodina

On the first evening, the hosts were introduced to the audience. The theater “Stevan Sremac” of the Cultural Center in Crvenka performed with the play “Lies and parallages” by Jovan Sterija Popović, directed by Radoj Čupić. On the second evening of the Show, the actors of the Drama Ensemble of the Kula Cultural Center performed the play “Kus petlić” based on the text of Aleksandar Popović and directed by Dragan Ostojić, and on the third day of the show, the City Cultural and Art Society “Sombor” performed. They performed the play “Don’t play with the English” by Vladimir Đurđević, directed by Lea Jevtić. The actors of the “Velimir Sandić Veljko” drama section of the Sivac Cultural Center performed Moliere’s play “The Imaginary Patient”, adapted and directed by Miloš Milošević Šika. The actors of the Drama Studio “Art” of the Cultural Center from Krstur, Russia performed the monodrama “The Dream of a Funny Man” by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, directed by Vladimir Nagy.

According to the decision of the selectors, placement at the Festival of Amateur Theater Societies of Vojvodina, which will be held in Bačka Palanka, was secured by the drama sections from Kula, Crvenka and Sivac, while the monodrama from Rusk Krstur will be presented at the Festival of Small Scenes.

When it comes to awards, the play “Lies and parallages” received several awards: awards for the best scenography and best direction went to director Radoj Čupić, Gordana Jelić Mešter received an award for stage speech and best episodic role, Dragica Radović for stage movement , and Zoran Radulović and Cvijeta Jovanović Mučalica for the best acting achievements.

The play “The Imaginary Patient” was also awarded multiple times, so Jelena Jović received the award for the best costume design, Zoran Stojanović for the best music, Milorad Stijepović and Radivoje Jakšić received recognition for their roles, the director Miloš Milošević Šika was awarded for the adaptation of the play, and actor Nikola Pejin for the best acting performance.

In the end, the play “Kus petlić” also received several awards – Strahinja Šćekić was awarded for the best episodic role, and Tamara Šalinački and Slobodan Nogavica received awards for the best acting achievements.
