In the work of Tibor Varadi, interesting stories are born from everyday life in Banat through the court proceedings shown.
“In the latest edition, there are mostly small trials in Banat during the Second World War.” What’s interesting about it is that there were many people who didn’t want to be heroes, much less traitors – they just wanted to be people in those terrible years, during the German occupation. They put a disproportionate amount of energy into small claims, and that suited the judges too, because if a lady says she left her husband because he locked the pantry, and the husband says that’s why he can’t be left, no matter what the judge says, there will be neither fascists nor communists.”
Dr. Tibor Varadi’s book “The Marriage Bed after Marriage” was published by the Publishing House “Forum” from Novi Sad.
