The trial in the “Jovanjica 1” case, in which the owner of that property, Predrag Koluvija, was the first accused, continued this Wednesday in the Special Court in Belgrade, and acting prosecutor Saša Drecun requested that inspector Slobodan Milenković Senta be heard during the proceedings. Milenković is the man who led the operation when the police raided “Jovanjica” in November 2019 and seized a record amount of marijuana.
– What all four policemen stated during their testimony is that Slobodan Milenkovic will say more about some things. Their statement was followed by media stigmatization, and thus his protection by the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit was ensured. Bearing in mind the fact that the witnesses testified about very important issues, I believe that he should be questioned first, before presenting any other evidence – said Drecun at the trial.
Then Judge Zoran Ganić made his statement on this request.
– The position of this council is to continue with the procedure as we imagined. We will continue with the presentation of written evidence and inspection of the photo-documentation, and the witness will be questioned after the presentation of this evidence, because for now it is not necessary – said Ganić.
Let us remind you that inspector Slobodan Milenković, who now performs the function of coordinator in the MUP, could not attend several searches for “Jovanjica” to testify for health and safety reasons, which is why he was given up as a witness, which caused great public condemnation.
The inspector then announced through his legal team that he was ready to testify and was awaiting a summons.
By the way, inspector Slobodan Milenković could be a key witness in the proceedings for “Jovanjica”, given that he was one of the first to enter the property where marijuana was seized.
Let’s remind you, the “Jovanjica” estate was discovered in November 2019, a record amount of marijuana was seized, and Predrag Koluvia was handcuffed.

Since its discovery, the whole case has been under the watchful eye of the public due to the fact that the said property has been visited by numerous government officials in recent years.
During the months-long investigation, it was discovered that the property was secured by members of the Military Intelligence Agency (VOA) and BIA, which shed a whole new light on the whole case.
