This year’s first employers’ forum was held in Ivanjica, with the aim of establishing direct communication between the National Employment Service (NES) and employers in order to promote active employment policy measures, as well as discuss current topics on the labor market.
With more than 7,700 unemployed people in the territory of Moravica district alone, of which 2,700 are in Ivanjica, 3,400 in Čačak, 840 in Gornji Milanovac and 750 in Lucani, it is clear that initiatives like this forum are essential for supporting the local economy and community.
One of the significant themes of the form was the inclusive employment of more difficult to employ categories, such as the elderly, people with disabilities and young people under the age of thirty. The municipality of Ivanjica allocates significant funds from the budget for this purpose.
Ivana Mićić, defectologist from the Association for Persons with Mental Disabilities, emphasized the importance of cooperation with the NES in the promotion of inclusive employment through public works programs.
The employers’ forum in Ivanjica is not only a forum for the exchange of information, but also an example of successful cooperation between the public and private sectors, and the local community, with the aim of creating an inclusive and prosperous labor market.
