An interactive workshop on the topic “How to become a writer?” was organized in Sremska Mitrovica – the premises of the Radenković Local Office. The participants of the workshop were the children of the mixed group of kindergarten “Lane” from Radenković, which belongs to the preschool institution “Pčelica” from Sremska Mitrovica with the teacher Tatjana Milivojčević, and the children of the elementary school “Dobrosav Radosavljević Narod” from Mačvanska Mitrovica, the Radenković district department with their teachers Milica Petrović and Biljana Stanic. The host of the workshop was the registrar of the Radenkovic Radojica Turudić Local Office.

Radojica Turudić is a poet and prose writer who published two books of poems “I want someone to remember me” in 2014 and “I need a peaceful harbor” in 2018, as well as the book of prose “Kao da je biloče” in 2021, for which he received the International Prize “Apollonsirmiensis” awarded by the publisher Edicija “Sirm” from Sremska Mitrovica.

The workshop is designed as an exchange of interpretations of poetic and prose works between children and writers. The writer presented selected poems to the children and read a passage from the book “As if it were yesterday”. Children of primary school age read their own stories inspired by their works of art. The teacher read three stories to preschool children.

After presenting their creations, as well as listening to the creative works of the writer, the children pose questions to the host of the workshop. On that occasion, they learned how to become a writer, when the writer’s beginnings were, who was his role model and how he felt when he became famous.

After the literary part of the program, teacher Tatajana Milivojčević introduced the audience to the theme of the exhibition, as well as the type of children’s artwork – comic boards. Those present also learned how the comic “Unfinished World” by the Bosnian author Adnadin Jašarević was an inspiration for the children to create their own comic stories on the theme “Dream World”.

As the message of the children’s art works is identical to the one sent to the children by the host author, it can be highlighted as a rich message that the children took with them from the workshop, which is that adults should preserve the child in themselves, which will limit the limits of creative imagination as the highest value that it strives for. all freedom, reach unfathomable heights.
