26th International Exhibition of Children’s Folk Art “DENS” on April 27 in Gradskovo

The 26th International Exhibition of Children’s Folk Art “DENS” will be held in Gradskovo, near Zaječar, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

16 children’s folklore groups from KUDO from the towns of Zaječar and Bor and the municipalities of Knjaževac, Boljevac and Žagubica will participate, with around 350 participants.

The aim of the fair is to encourage original folk creativity among the youngest and to present, promote and protect the intangible cultural heritage of Timočka Krajina and is traditionally organized on Lazarus Saturday or Vrbica.

“DENS” does not have a competitive nature, but it is organized with the presence of representatives of the Central Association of Serbian Amateurs, who select groups for participation in the Children’s Folk Art Show of Serbia.

The ceremonial parade is at 3:45 p.m., and the opening of the parade at 4:00 p.m.

The organizer of the fair in Gradskovo is the National Theater of Timočka Krajina – Center for Culture “Zoran Radmilović” Zaječar, in cooperation with the local community of Gradskovo, and the patron is the City of Zaječar.
