SERBIA WILL FIGHT FOR THE TRUTH

BELGRADE, APRIL 24 /SRNA/ – Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović Handanović stated that Serbia will not give up the fight for the truth in connection with the announced resolution on Srebrenica in the UN General Assembly and in connection with the possible membership of the self-proclaimed Kosovo in the Council of Europe .

Handanović stated that Serbia is in a difficult situation because of the vote in the UN and the Council of Europe, but that she must not give up on the problem. “The fight is difficult, because you know that you are almost doomed in advance, but we must not give up and not fight. And we must not surrender, because there are still free-minded countries and peoples in the world who see the injustice and the force of powerful countries that want to put the blame on Serbia,” Handanović emphasized. Handanović asked who now, after 29 years, needs the topic of Srebrenica and the Serbs as a “genocide nation”, which is like a Pandora’s box being opened before the UN as if there had been no crime before in history. “We had the Hague Tribunal, then a declaration in the Parliament, which showed that we do not underestimate anyone’s victims,” ​​said Handanović. She assessed that the passing of the resolution on Srebrenica in the UN would put a political seal and a collective verdict on the Serbian people and future generations. Handanović noted that in the 1990s, a narrative was created through the Western media that Serbs were “the only culprits and aggressors” and the other peoples in the region were victims. “No matter how much we fought back then, it was a marked path, which developed and reached its peak in 1998 in Kosovo and Metohija,” Handanović told TV “Happy” and added that since then the disparagement of Serbian victims began. When it comes to the NATO aggression of Serbia, Handanović says that the aggressor does not seem to exist, even when it comes to civilian victims, such as RTS journalists, and that even in that context, Serbs are not equal victims.
