Mataruška Spa – After almost a decade of empty and neglected Mataruška spa, the festive halls in the famous spa hotel “Termal” were full of guests in the evening of April 22. The ceremony was organized on the occasion of the completion of the extensive reconstruction of that area, so that it will soon begin regular work.
– By the way, we already have more than 40 reservations for various celebrations, especially weddings, even for next year. We are continuing the renovation and expansion of this hotel, furnishing accommodation with a capacity of 280 beds, renovation of the indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Most of the work will be completed in a year with huge investments – explained Dejan Antonijević, the owner of the company “Ekonom” at the mouth of the Ibar, which includes the Mataruška natural spa and the Bogutovačka spa.
The mentioned company bought the hotels, villas and spas of these two spas, three years ago, where until then the environment was gloomy due to bankruptcy and almost ten years of idleness and neglect. In that period, two years ago, the new owners renovated the hotel “Mineral” in Bogutovacka banja, the popular catering facility “Kapicu” in Mataruška banja, started the operation of spas in both spas…
– The city of Kraljevo will invest around 420,000 euros in the name of the detailed reconstruction of about six kilometers of the water supply network in Mataruška Banja and the detailed arrangement of park areas. Part of that money in the amount of 360,000 euros is aid from EU funds, and the rest will be allocated from the city coffers – Dr. Predrag Terzić, mayor of Kraljevo, noted at the aforementioned meeting.
So, by all accounts, these spas, symbols of tourism in this area, will once again be on the tourist map of Serbia and known especially for the treatment of rheumatism and sterility in Mataruška, and various neurological diseases in Bogutovacka spa.
