Evacuated children from kindergartens in Belgrade

“The children from the “Kanarinac” kindergarten on Kanarevo brdo were evacuated for preventive reasons because smoke appeared in the electrical cabinet,” Aleksandra Čamagić, secretary for education and child protection, told “Novosti”.

Fortunately, no one was injured and the breakdown was quickly repaired.

According to Radmila Anđelković, director of the Rakovica Preschool, everything happened around 10:00 this morning. She points out that there was no fire. The children temporarily “moved” to the kindergarten “Izvorčić”, and most of them were picked up by their parents.

“The teachers acted in a timely manner, so there was no need for the firefighters to intervene, which we immediately informed,” Anđelković says.
