Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić emphasized today in New York that Serbia continues the fight and announced that tonight on the subject of the Resolution on Srebrenica, he will have an online meeting with members of the joint staff in Belgrade, in order to review Serbia’s positions.
In a statement to journalists at the headquarters of the United Nations, he stated that, among others, he will also speak with the President of the Serbian Parliament, Ana Brnabić, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dačić.
“Today we have a difficult day, we are only in the middle, and tonight we will also have a joint headquarters with Belgrade, so Ana and Ivica and everyone else from Belgrade will be involved, so let’s see where we are. We have representatives all over the world, we are fighting from Cambodia to “Panama, our people are everywhere, they deliver my message, my letter and talk to the hosts,” said the president.
He emphasized that this is what Serbia can do and reminded that so far in New York he had talked with the heads of state of more than 80 countries, that those talks are continuing, and that with the reception there were almost 120 of them.
He added that it was heard in New York that it was incredible that little Serbia managed to oppose itself in such a way that everyone in the UN was only talking about it, while on the other side were all the most powerful and biggest powers in the world.
“Happiness, this is a peaceful political process, I hope that I will have the opportunity to talk with the American permanent representative, that is important to us because of Kosovo in the future and because of everything else,” said the president.
He explained that the US permanent representative to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, is a member of US President Joe Biden’s collegium and that it is a close team “that learns about everything”, which is why it is important to establish the best relations with her.
