Just as the opposition-minded citizens try to understand, justify, forget the division of the coalition Serbia against violence due to participation in the combined Belgrade and local elections, and try to decide on their next move, the announcement of the continuation of the opposition reality show comes.
And if the “threat” of the president of the DS, Zoran Lutovac, comes true, it will withdraw from the electoral process if the issue of the voter list is not resolved, that is, the government will remain only on the story of meeting the demands of the opposition.
This is just one of the proofs of how confused is the work of average opposition members who try to deal with politics and respond to the challenges that Vučić serves them every day, for whom, unlike all of them, politics is his only job and obsession and he has no equal in this.
Even if, in some way, half of what the opposition is asking of him at this moment, we should not believe that the election conditions will be any better than before, nor were they better than and because of the boycott in 2020, and yet the elections were held from then on. I dare say they wouldn’t be better even in autumn.
This government will be defeated in unfair conditions and circumstances, be they electoral or life. In street language, “our gang must be stronger than the other”, since the progressives in the bar act like part of an organized violent group. And that, I am convinced, cannot be cured by applying ODIHR recommendations. This has been clear since the elections, where local opposition representatives were attacked and beaten, and voters were forced to vote.
The Belgrade opposition, it seems, does not understand this and is not ready to work with people in the long term, except during the campaign, which is not enough. And that is why the story of victory in the upcoming elections is, I dare say, incredible.
Because agreeing to run a short campaign in more than 80 municipalities and in Belgrade in such an unprepared, lazy and penniless manner is tantamount, I’ll be mild, to political amateurism.
Parliamentary debate on amendments to the Law on Local Elections which join the elections showed that the opposition competition will continue, because apart from using the pulpit as a platform to launch increasingly creative descriptions of what the government is doing, they sent their own electoral or political messages of boycott, they did not refrain from poking each other because of the decisions that have brought. “And that’s how they acted in unison just ten days ago.”
If reality programs are ever canceled, I advise fans of this content to tune in to an opposition program with lots of plots, side stories, completely unclear moves, messages and twists. So you vote…
