Public competition for subsidies in agriculture and rural economy – Pirot news

The city of Pirot, on Monday, April 29, is announcing a competition for the use of funds for subsidies in agriculture and the rural economy in 2024. The competition is intended for registered agricultural holdings with both property and place of residence in the territory of the city of Pirot.

Investments are subsidized in the following sectors: milk production, meat production, agricultural production, fruit growing, vegetable and flower growing, beekeeping, production of table eggs, processing of milk and meat on the farm, insurance of fruit and animal crops, and for the first time since this year, the certification of organic production will be subsidized . Insurance of crops, fruits and animals is subsidized with 30% of the value of the policy and a maximum of 200,000 dinars per farm, while all other investments are subsidized with 50% of the value without VAT.

One farm can apply several times during the year and can receive a maximum of 700,000 dinars in subsidies. Submission of requests for subsidies is from the 1st to the 5th of the month at the clerk’s desk, with the exception of the month of May when, due to a holiday, the deadline is from the 7th to the 13th of May. A public call for subsidies for artificial insemination will be published at the end of October. Requests are resolved according to the order of receipt, the decision on granting subsidies is made by a commission formed by the mayor. The applicant receives the subsidy after signing the contract. The contest lasts until the end of the funds, and no later than November 5, 2024, and the budget of the Fund for Agriculture is 56,000,000 dinars.
