By the way, the sniper was wearing a nanogag, after which an international arrest warrant was issued for him, because he did not return from his walk.

According to information from the court, the service that monitors people under house arrest noticed that Milutinović did not return from his walk from 12:00 to 13:00 on May 5 last year. The police were informed and found that he was not at his home address, after which the court issued an international warrant and they were looking for him until this morning.

Milutinović has been under house arrest since the beginning of April after the Novi Sad High Court ruled that he should serve two years and six months in prison for coercion, deprivation of liberty and abuse of a girl with whom he was in an emotional relationship. It was decided to transfer him from prison custody to house arrest with a nanowire, because Milutinović “has children aged five and seven who suffered for him”.

The news of Milutinović’s escape came to light at the trial for violent behavior at the 2018 indoor soccer tournament, where he was accused along with his brother NM (35), NT (24) and KR (27). The beginning of the hearing was postponed to June 23 and September 7 last year, because Milutinović did not appear, and his lawyer and brother did not know where he was. Judge Ivana Josifović pointed out that the trial will continue regardless of the presence of the defendants.

By the way, the Appellate Court in Novi Sad recently made a decision to cancel part of the verdict by which Slobodan Milutinović Snajper was sentenced to a single sentence of two and a half years in prison for three crimes: coercion, illegal deprivation of liberty and abuse and torture of a fellow citizen of UJ (25). , with whom he was in an emotional relationship. The verdict for coercion was revoked, and Milutinović will be tried again for that crime. For the other two crimes, the verdict was confirmed, so he was sentenced to a single sentence of one year and 10 months in prison.

The case was returned to the court of first instance, and Sniper will be tried again, but in absentia, considering that he has been on the run since last May. Although Milutinović was initially charged with kidnapping, during the evidentiary proceedings, the first-instance court appreciated the statements of the victim and accepted them, and based on that, as well as other evidence, reclassified the crime as coercion, considering that he did not commit kidnapping.
