The candidates are students of the first class of the Non-Commissioned Officer Course, which, as a new training model for initial non-commissioned officer duties in units of the Serbian Armed Forces, has been organized since October last year, through four modules lasting nine months, the Ministry of Defense announced.

The third training module is now underway, during which candidates are trained to perform duties within their gender or service. Previously, on the first two modules, they acquired the necessary basic military knowledge and abilities to command a group, team and department.

In the final stage of training, candidates will intern in the units of the Serbian Armed Forces, in accordance with the positions for which they applied, and then they will have the opportunity to find themselves in the role of commander and deputy commander of the department. Those who successfully master that module will be promoted to the rank of sergeant and will join the ranks of the Serbian Armed Forces.

Young men and women who want to become non-commissioned officers of the Serbian Armed Forces in this way, and have a four-year secondary education or are in their final year of high school, can apply for it now, for the competition which is open until the end of the month.
