As Novosti points out, perhaps now is the right moment for Serbia to pass an act on the genocide of Serbs before the National Assembly and then request the same in New York.

Russia’s ambassador to the UN, Vasiliy Nebenzja, said that “Germany, which stands behind the resolution on Srebrenica, is responsible for the biggest and most cruel genocide in the 20th century, and I mean the Second World War”:

“I will not be surprised if at some point, if the resolution is adopted, someone, perhaps Russia, comes out with a resolution about the genocide by Nazi Germany against the people of the Soviet Union during the Second World War. Serbia has similar problems, because there is the issue of genocide in The adoption of the resolution on Srebrenica is a cunning attempt to pass an extremely politicized issue, which will not help reconciliation in the Balkans, especially since the decision on the adoption of the resolution was not made according to the constitution of the Federation he did not give his consent for such an initiative,” Nebenzja pointed out.

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Živadin Jovanović pointed out to Novosti that it is paradoxical that the political West imposes the declaration of crimes in the municipality as genocide and attributes it to the Serbian people, while Serbia lags behind in declaring genocide against Serbs in the 20th century – in the First and Second World Wars.

“I think that Serbia behaved cautiously in a certain way, not raising such issues, but in the meantime it turned out that it was not the most correct position. There was talk of a resolution on genocide during the Nazi occupation from 1941 to 1945, with special emphasis on the genocide that was carried out in the Jasenovac Nazi-fascist camp system. There were events according to the stand-up method, despite the engagement of research scientists, experts, academics, international researchers and specialists for genocide, but no resolution was reached,” said Jovanović.

He pointed out that some countries such as Poland and Greece have raised issues of war reparations from Germany for the consequences of Nazi-fascist aggression and that the Poles declared a genocide committed by “Nazi-fascist forces of Ukraine” on their soil in World War II a few years ago:

“We should not hesitate. Concessions of any kind and our kindness only fuel the thirst and appetites of our opponents, they cannot be appeased by attention, they do not understand it as a gesture of goodwill, they behave differently than we expect. I support the efforts of our country , diplomacy to react most strongly to that insidious initiative to attribute responsibility for genocide to Serbia through the UN General Assembly decision. Western policy has always been to declare the victim an executioner Let’s bring a resolution to the Assembly and then go to the UN. Russia has its reasons and it made the biggest sacrifices – 25 million people were killed in the victory over Nazism. It seems that it was not enough to declare it a genocide, so the figures for the Municipality of Srebrenica were inflated to declare genocide. Germany is doing it to wash itself and to show pretension in the Balkans, and it got there through four aggressions: in the First and Second World Wars, as well as those of 1995 and 1999.”
