The trilateral meeting of the delegations of Belgrade, Pristina and the European Union has begun

The trilateral meeting of the delegations of Belgrade, Pristina and European Union mediators began in Brussels.

There are many experts in the delegation from Belgrade, and it is led by the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petković. The EU delegation is headed by the EU special envoy for dialogue Miroslav Lajčak, while the Pristina delegation is headed by Besnik Bisljimi.

The meeting started around 12:30 p.m. and the main topic will once again be the decision to ban the use of dinars in Kosovo, as well as the formation of the ZSO.

This is the sixth round of dialogue, which should discuss the unilateral decision of Pristina to cancel the dinar payment transactions in the Republic of Kosovo.

The dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina continued today in Brussels, and it is expected that the main topic will once again be the decision of the Pristina central bank to prohibit the use of dinars in Kosovo and Metohija.

European Commission spokesman Peter Stano confirmed that it will be held meeting at the level of the main negotiators of Belgrade and Pristina on the dinar issue, and stated that the meeting is planned to follow the usual dialogue format.

EU Special Envoy for Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak earlier this week he expressed the expectation that the upcoming talks will be based on “very concrete ideas”, assessing that during the previous round of dialogue the gap between the parties had narrowed.

The previous meeting at the level of the main negotiators was held on April 18 in Brussels, and Petković then said that Belgrade did absolutely everything in order to find a solution regarding Pristina’s unilateral and violent decision to cancel the dinar and the payment transactions of Serbia in Kosovo, but that Pristina does not want to find a solution.
