Work on the construction of a new well in Sivac is nearing completion

--

Apart from the additional amount of water, the importance of the new well is that the water pressure during the summer months will be stabilized, which will solve a perennial problem. Funds for financing these works were provided on the basis of the Competition announced by the Ministry of Agriculture, that is, the Administration for Agrarian Payments. In order to make sure of the dynamics and progress of the works, the President of the Kula Municipal Assembly, Velibor Milojičić, and the Director of the Public Utility Company “Radnik”, Željko Madžarev, visited the location itself. Speaking about the very importance of such a project, the president of the Kula Municipal Assembly, Velibor Milojičić, pointed out that the construction of a new well carries enormous importance for the residents of Sivac, and that this project also shows that the settlement of Sivac is moving forward safely and that in the near future they are realization and many other important projects:

“It is an understatement to say that the importance of building a new well is great. Here we are nearing the end of the project that we started two years ago. I would like to point out that the project documentation for this well was prepared by the Public Utility Company “Radnik” from its own funds, which was a prerequisite for us to apply and to request funds from higher levels of government. In December, we managed to secure 20 million dinars, thanks primarily to the president of the municipality of Kula, Damjan Miljanić, and State Secretary Dušanka Golubović, and everything after that was technical. When we secured the funds, public procurement was carried out, people were brought into the business and we are now somewhere near the end of the realization of this important project. Drilling, flushing and testing of the wells have been carried out, the technical indicators are phenomenal, and what I want to emphasize is that this project also shows that Sivac is moving forward safely and there are also big and significant projects ahead of us. The design and technical documentation for the sewage system is being developed, then the reconstruction of the Vrbas-Sombor railway and the state road Vrbas-Sombor is in progress, the construction of the expressway awaits us, the design has begun, thanks to the funds we received from the Provincial Government, of the Sivac-Crvenka industrial zone on some 11 hectares of land that will be in the immediate vicinity of the connection to the expressway, so, all in all, all of us who are in the team headed by the mayor of the municipality are working to improve the living conditions in the populated place of Sivac day by day and we are sure that all these are preconditions for young people to stay in Sivac, and hopefully, some of them will return to our village”.

The director of the public utility company “Radnik”, Željko Madžarev, said that the test results are great, considering that they show that the new well produces 13 liters of water per second. When it comes to the completion of the works, Madjarev expressed the hope that the works will be finished by the end of May and that it will then be put into operation:

“As far as the well test results are concerned, the results are great, considering that the new well was found to be producing 13 liters of water per second. With the current situation at the source, which is 20 liters of water per second, with the new 13 liters we will have a total of 33 liters of water per second. In February, we regenerated one well, which we raised from 1.6 to 7 liters per second. As for the completion of the works, I hope that it will be finished by the end of May and that it will be put into operation then”.
