An employment and education fair was held in Prijepolje

The Employment Fair, which was followed by the Education Fair. About thirty employers offered about 150 vacancies.

Employers expressed the need for employment of labor force of various profiles, traders, administrative and accounting workers, salesmen, lawyers, production workers, machine technicians, tailors, carpenters, butchers, waiters, cooks.

At the Employment and Education Fair, secondary schools from Prijepolje and the surrounding area presented their educational profiles and majors to elementary school students from Prijepolje. Students in the final grades of primary schools had the opportunity to learn more about enrollment conditions, majors and curricula for further education.

“The fair, as a manifestation of an open nature, also enables the unemployed who are not registered with the NES to hold discussions with employers. It is very important that young people take care of their choice of occupation after finishing school, whether it is finding a job or continuing further education. For the first time, the Employment Fair is accompanied by the Education Fair,” Rafeta Hajdarević, Director of the National Employment Service, Prijepolje Branch, pointed out, among other things.

The National Employment Service provided information on all programs and activities that encourage employment, as well as assistance to unemployed persons in compiling a CV. The fair was opened by the mayor of the municipality, Drago Popadić, who emphasized that the local self-government will strive to jointly help with the National Employment Service with a series of measures to reduce the number of unemployed persons.

“It would be an honor for us if this year’s number of unemployed from the labor register would decrease already next year, when we have more employers.” We will strive for this together with the National Employment Service and all actors who can contribute to it”, said the first man of the municipality of Prijepolje, Drago Popadić.

Students in the final grades of primary and secondary schools will also have the opportunity to talk with a career planning advisor from the NES on the topic of professional orientation and career choice.
