Police officers from the Višegrad Police Station detained the VK from Visoko on suspicion that he was transporting foreign nationals.

“Acting in accordance with the Agreement on the provision of assistance and operational cooperation in border surveillance, and all with the aim of an adequate response to migration pressure, the police officers of the Višegrad Police Station, implementing measures and activities within their jurisdiction, stopped the vehicle “Mercedes-Vito” in Vojvode Stepe St. where they found seven foreign citizens. The police officers determined that the persons found were citizens of Syria, one of whom was a minor,” the police announced.

The prosecutor on duty at the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Service for Foreigners, Field Center Sarajevo, were informed about the event. The persons found were handed over to the Service for Foreigners in Sarajevo.

In the official premises of the Višegrad Police Station, the criminal processing of the person deprived of liberty was carried out, and after the completion of the case, a Report on the committed criminal offense for the criminal offense of “Person smuggling” will be submitted to the BiH Prosecutor’s Office.
