In the center of this mountain, on Odvračenica, it can be said that there is a true winter idyll. Locals say that at this high altitude, snow did not fall only in August, and it is not uncommon for half a meter to fall even in May. Those who came to visit their cottages had to build a fire.
“There is no snow for skiing, but it is certainly beautiful. However, we hope that spring will return again, because the days in the previous period were beautiful, with high temperatures. Tourists have already started to arrive. Our regular guests are local ones, from Ivanjica, Novi Pazar and Raška, but guests from the region are not rare either. Accommodation facilities are expanding and Odvraćenica is becoming a really interesting tourist destination,” the residents of Golije told the RINA agency.

They unanimously add that this mountain beauty can rightly be called one of the most beautiful mountains in Serbia. Rich in forests and sources of clean drinking water, it is a real oasis of untouched nature.
“What they visit the most are the viewpoints. We have a couple of them in the very center, they offer views into the distance, which leave you breathless. Apart from Golija, snow has been blowing since the early hours of the morning on Kopaonik, but also on the Bjelasica mountain in Montenegro.
