Radio and Television of Serbia requested the postponement of the meeting with MPs of the ruling party and the opposition as part of negotiations on election conditions. As they stated, the proposed date, Friday at 1 p.m., does not suit them because of the commitments they had made earlier.
The president of the Serbia Center (SRCE) party, Zdravko Ponoš, announced on the social network X that Radio-television of Serbia and Radio-television of Vojvodina replied to the Parliament of Serbia that they did not have time to talk with MPs about the media before Monday.
“At least the director of RTV personally signed the answer.” Bujošević not so much, busy. Signed by the cabinet,” said Ponoš.
“So much for point two of the request for election conditions.” That’s the one that’s been solved for us,” Ponoš added.
Vice President of the Freedom and Justice Party, Marinika Tepić, announced on the “X” network that RTS “deregistered from the election conditions.”
“He says they are doing everything right and they don’t see why they should talk to the opposition.” Everything is great, as well as the electoral roll. That’s why even today, April 25, 22 days after the announced elections, no movement has been made in cleaning the voter’s list,” Tepic wrote.
She also published on “X” a copy of the answer that the public service provided to the participants of the planned meeting.
Portal Nova.rs announced that RTS requested to move the meeting to Monday or Tuesday, April 29 or 30.
“Due to previously scheduled commitments, we are unable to respond positively to your invitation to the meeting on April 26 at 1 p.m. in the House of the National Assembly in such a short period of time,” stated RTS.
“In the invitation, it is stated that ‘deputy groups will have the opportunity to present their views on public service reporting’, which we are already very familiar with because we carefully follow the parliamentary sessions and all the statements of all relevant political factors in the country, and we do not see the need for our by attending such a meeting,” RTS said in its reply.
The public service also requested that they be provided with the topics to be discussed in order to adequately prepare, reports Nova.rs
The participants of the parliamentary dialogue on the improvement of election conditions were supposed to hold a meeting with the representatives of Radio and Television Serbia on Friday at 1:00 p.m., in order to discuss the manner of reporting by the public service in the upcoming election campaign.
