Employees in Serbian ministries falsified documents for Kosovo Albanians

Among the 17 arrested who is suspected of falsification of documents and abuse of position are also two employees of the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government, announced the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia.

The suspects are accused of creating more than 400 false public documents – contracts, powers of attorney, high school, high school, and college diplomas – from April 2023 in an illegal printing house in Belgrade.

It is suspected that they thus obtained more than 12 million dinars.

Among those arrested is a member of the MUP, and he, together with those arrested in the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government, is accused of abusing his official position and conducting checks through the closed bases of the registry services and the MUP.

Also, one person employed in the Ministry of Education was arrested on suspicion of employing people with forged documents in state institutions for money.

Suspects will be brought to the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office for organized crime along with a criminal report.

Forged documents

Earlier today, the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime announced that those arrested had falsified documents on the purchase and sale of cadastral plots in Kosovo and Metohija owned by displaced Serbs.

It is suspected that the members of the groups procured and created forged documents, namely identity cards, gift contracts, authorizations, powers of attorney for the purchase and sale of cadastral plots in AP KiM owned by displaced Serbs from the territory of KiM.

Thus, as stated, Kosovo Albanians who are interested in obtaining the status of citizens of Serbia were illegally enabled to register their residence, obtain citizenship and obtain false documents, according to the statement of the prosecutor’s office.
