“We managed to complicate things, but we are aware that we cannot win. America raises an eyebrow, and then the others jump to vote. But to be fair, they were not the ringleaders, the main role was taken by the Germans and they are the ones who directly lead campaign in the UN and outside of all its partners,” Vučić told the media in New York ahead of his return to Belgrade.

Vučić announced that Marko Đurić, who will stay in New York until May 2, will have meetings with representatives of 20 other countries, especially Pacific countries – from Palau to Papua New Guinea.

“There is a lot of work left to try to fight, to come out of everything with our heads held high, upright, and dedicate ourselves to the further progress of Serbia,” said Vučić, stating that “many people in the world, no matter how they vote, know that this has little to do with justice and international law, but with politics and geopolitical relations”.

Stating that the Serbian delegation had meetings with five European countries, which he considers to be friendly and do not vote as ordered, Vučić announced that as soon as he returns to Belgrade, he will make a plan for his return or how to act in Belgrade , because he wants to invite the permanent representatives of African, Asian and Pacific countries to Belgrade and present his views to them once again.

“It’s not enough to say we just talked to someone and they have a positive attitude. That’s not enough, what does that mean. We caused a lot of nervousness to many people, from their journalists to politicians. Someone said from the Asian representatives yesterday that the UN has never been in such a situation disorder and that they don’t know what is happening before the resolution is voted on May 2,” said Vučić.

According to him, countries like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan used to be fiercely against it, but “they understand the geopolitical situation now”.

“It’s a big game, everything is boiling over at the UN. We’re going today in the afternoon, Marko (Đurić) and Vuk (JeremiĆić) will have a meeting with the Organization of the Islamic Conference. We’ve already seen them all, but it’s good to confirm once more. This morning I spoke with several other world leaders, asked them for support and help. Now everything is boiling like a beehive,” said Vučić, pointing out that, on the other hand, the Americans and Germans met in Austria today and “counted votes and made a pressure list “.

He compared the situation to the match between Valladolid and Real Madrid.

“The whole Bernabeu showed white handkerchiefs to drive the coach away. In the second half they fought, so even though it was a draw, there were no more white handkerchiefs. It’s yours to fight. The one who expects us to beat America, Germany, England… Easier it would be good for us if the topic was Kosovo. We are not as small as we think we are,” said Vucic and added that they “found the most painful topic” for Serbia, and that if it had been Kosovo, it would have been much easier.

Vučić also said that Serbia is declared a factor of instability in the region whenever it refuses to accept someone’s blackmail.

“Whenever you are ready to protect the interests of your people, you are a problem,” said Vučić and assessed that he is the biggest problem.

“I am their biggest problem, because I don’t allow Serbs to trample. The bottom line is that they are capable of violating Dayton in the most terrible way, and the Americans know it. That’s why they let the Germans go, because they don’t care about that. The Americans know that it is violation of Dayton, because you have to have the consent of all three nations. You don’t have it and they know it, of course they don’t care, but they will say that we didn’t do anything or interfere. When you tell them, they put headlines everywhere: “Dangerous threats from Vučić : He says that Dayton is being trampled on. No matter what we do, unless we repeat their vomit about our own race, we will always be bad. And if we give up the Serbian name and surname, Republika Srpska, independence… I would get three Nobels and it would be both beautiful and smart, if I did it,” said Vučić.

Commenting on the statements of political actors in Serbia about the Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica, Vučić said that everyone has the right to a political opinion.

“We have many of them who support their country in Serbia. It has been like that for decades. The so-called leaders, people who should protect other people’s values, not their own people”, said Vučić.

Speaking about the Belgrade and other local elections, Vučić said that he did not read who was going to run in the elections and assessed that the citizens were not interested either.

“People are interested in whether they can receive their salaries and pensions before the holidays, what is new that we will bring to the country in the future, at what speed will their incomes grow, will we preserve national pride, how will our country deal with the pressures”, said Vučić.

The President of Serbia also said that he will get involved in the preparation for the elections “at some point”, but that “it doesn’t occur to him before May 10 or 16”, because he has much more important work to do than party issues. (end) vem/kt/mk
