Radio and Television of Serbia (RTS) responded today that it cannot attend tomorrow’s meeting in the House of the National Assembly, where the talks between the authorities and the opposition on election conditions are continuing.
RTS also requested the postponement of that meeting to Monday or Tuesday, April 29 or 30writes Nova.rs.
– Due to previously scheduled commitments, we are unable to respond positively to your invitation to the meeting on April 26 at 1 pm in the House of the National Assembly in such a short period of time – stated RTS.
– In the invitation, it is stated that “deputy groups will have the opportunity to express their views on public service reporting”, which we are already very familiar with because we carefully follow the parliamentary sessions and all the statements of all relevant political factors in the country, and we do not see the need for our by attending such a meeting – it is stated in RTS’s answer.
– If RTS representatives are expected to participate in the conversation in any way, please let us know which topics will be discussed so that we can adequately prepare, if the goal of the meeting is a constructive dialogue, as you wrote in the invitation – it is added in the answer.
Let us remind you that the participants of the parliamentary dialogue on the improvement of election conditions were supposed to hold a meeting with the representatives of Radio and Television of Serbia tomorrow, at 1:00 p.m., in order to discuss the manner of public service reporting in the upcoming election campaign.
