Sremska Mitrovica – Serbia will have its representative in the canoe at 1000 meters at the European qualifiers for the Olympic Games in Paris, thanks to the extraordinary success of Bojan Zdelar in the selection races held at Ada Ciganlija in Belgrade.
In an extremely exciting final of the K-1 1000 m discipline, Bojan Zdelar achieved an impressive result of 3:38.07, securing first place and thus a place in the European qualifiers. With this victory, Zdelar showed his outstanding form and skill, leaving behind the competition.
The second place was taken by Marko Subotić from Senta with a time of 3:42.21, while the third place went to Branko Lagundžić from Šabac with a time of 3:42.55.
Based on the results of the selection races, Serbia will have representatives in four disciplines: men’s K-1 1000 m and K-2 500 m, as well as women’s K-2 500 m and C-1 200 m. These competitors will compete to go to the Olympic Games in Paris this summer, representing Serbia in the world’s biggest sporting event.
