Five days of SIRMIUM MUSIC FEST

The 8th SIRMIUM MUSIC FEST international competition, which gathers musical talents from all over the world, was officially opened with a concert by pianist Tatjana Kravchenko, which takes place from April 24 to 28 in Sremska Mitrovica.

Those present were greeted by prof. Margita Vujović, MA, president of the “Gradus ad parnassum” association, which organizes this competition, under the auspices of the City of Sremska Mitrovica and the Provincial Secretariat for Culture, Public Information and Relations with Religious Communities.

The competition, which takes place in the Lazar Vozarević Gallery and the Srem Museum, is attended by elementary and secondary music school students, students of music academies, as well as freelance artists. They will present themselves in five disciplines: piano solo, piano duo, wind instruments, chamber music and solo singing.

According to the organizers, five hundred performers from sixteen countries applied: Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Russia, North Macedonia, Ukraine, Norway, United States of America, Malta, Montenegro, Latvia, Italy, India, South Korea, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romania. , and the competition is performed online and live, is open to the public, and is also one of the most important manifestations of the musical life of Sremska Mitrovica.

On the second day of SIRMIUM MUSIC FEST, on Thursday, pianist Aleksandar Sedlar will hold a concert, while on Friday concerts will be held by pianists Irina Mitrović and Nina Botić, Fourth day, Saturday, reservation for the concert of jury members of this international competition, while on Sunday the final the concert will be held by the winners of the competition, thus closing this year’s SIRMIUM MUSIC FEST.

The concerts start at 19:00, and the entrance is free.
