The weekend has only just begun, and as the meteorologists announced, we are expecting temperatures over 20 degrees, so we would all like a vacation in nature. This time we also have the perfect place for your mini-vacation, which National Geography even wrote about, and yes – this destination is located in Serbia.

In the immediate vicinity of the mountains Zlatibor and Zlatar, four hours from Belgrade, is one of the most frequently mentioned destinations in our country – the Uvac river canyon.

The special nature reserve Uvac is widely known for its beauty. Its main feature, in addition to the griffon vulture, are the meanders of the Uvac. This place is visited by more and more tourists every year in search of a beautiful view and good pictures.

It is difficult to describe in words the scene that awaits you at the viewpoints that adorn this nature reserve. There are more of them, three to be exact, but whichever one you climb, you won’t regret it. From every peak there is a view of the incredible landscape adorned by the winding meanders of the Uvac river.

If you also manage to photograph a griffon vulture, your trip will be more than successful. The chances of that happening are now higher than before, because this endangered bird species has managed to establish its home on Uvac, so don’t be surprised if you see several dozen vultures flying together above you.

Uvac is best visited during the spring, because of the lush nature that is starting to wake up. In addition, during the spring the temperatures are more pleasant, which you will surely know, since it takes some time to walk to the viewpoint.
